Guide VERON des Champagnes 2012
(around 20 euros per bottle)
The
winegrowers’ coop of the Champagne Vincent d’Astrée located in Pierry in the
heart of the vineyard groups together some 240 wine growers on an 85 hectares
production site and has been elaborating passionately since 1956 Champagnes
stemming from the 3 grapes varieties from Champagne.
The presentation of this Champagne is traditional. Its
name is poetic and suggestive.
Appearance :
- Straw yellow
- Fine and numerous bubbles
- Brilliant
Aroma :
- Intense, hearty and sensuous
- Dominant characteristic of red fruits (blackcurrant, raspberry, blackberry, redcurrant, plum, cherry…), which matches the delicate overtones of citrus (lemon, grapefruit)
Taste :
- Franck
attack obtained thanks to the judicious stuck of the malolactic
fermentation which quickly lets an open roundness take place, gorgeous
expression of the Pinot Meunier on its favourite soils
- Mineral finale, deliciously
peppered
- Great length on the palate
This blending Brut Cœur de Terroir
conveys with its charming personality a great image of the Champagne Vincent
d’Astrée.
To be served with the aperitif as well as along the meal to accompany white meats.
