Aspect: Gold, dense and brilliant. Refined and endless effervescence. Nose: Generous and exciting. Radiant
fragrances of red and black
fruits, characteristic signs of the Pinot Noir (53%) from Aÿ, Bouzy, Verzenay
and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, highlighted by the outstanding finesse of the Chardonnay
(47%) chosen in Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Trépail, with its delicate
touches of white fruits and candied citrus fruits. |
Palate: The splendid purity of the opening, reinforced by the timely stop of
the malolactic fermentation of the base wines and underlined by the
minerality, slowly unveils a joyful fullness obtained by 10 years of ageing
of the bottles on laths. For this Gold Label Millésime 2009, Hervé
Dantan, cellar master, was able to orchestrate the inspired meeting of the
best terroirs (Premiers and Grands
Crus) to perpetuate the art of blending, signature of the Champagne house
Lanson. |
