Guide VERON des Champagnes 2012
(around
14 euros per bottle)
The House of Lamblot Champagne, located in Janvry on a
vineyard of nearly 7 hectares in the Reims Mountain, has been carrying on the
tradition of Champagne for 13 generations.
The presentation of this Champagne is sober but luxurious.
Appearance :
- Golden yellow
- Fine bubbles
- Closed-in Cordon
- Clear and brilliant et brillant.
Aroma :
- Deep in structure, it brings straightaway an
intense pleasure
- Delicate overtones of candied citrus
- It then develops towards fresh butter, coffee and moka tinges which express the well-mastered maturing obtained thanks to the autolysis of the yeast during the long ageing on lath (a minimum of 5 years)
Taste :
- Frank, mineral, precise attack, all in tension, enhanced
by a judicious dosage (10 g/L of sugar) after disgorging
- The mouth then discloses a nice roundness, enlivened with pepper
and citrus tinges
- Good length on the palate.
Made of one third of each of the 3
grape varieties of Champagne (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier), this
Selection Brut Blending of the Lamblot Champagne is a real conjunction which
gives a good image of the traditional Champagnes blending.
To be served with the aperitif or why not along the meal together with seafood, fish or white meat with gravy.
