Mythical
Champagne
Established in
1838, the House Deutz has steadily developed and gained recognition through
many generations of its owners. The vineyard is located in Aÿ and comprises 42 hectares.
This Champagne is an original refined blend with a luxury and festive presentation
Appearance :
- Intense Golden-yellow hue
- Finely bubbled
- Subtle and persistent cordon
Aroma :
- Enjoyable and with a remarkable complexity, this wine reveals
itself progressively during a tasting.
- Characterized by aromas
of honey, beeswax, highlighted with
delicious overtones of blond
tobacco, brioche and toast attributed to the blending tradition of 10%
Pinot Meunier and 60% Pinot Noir and the well mastered result of a long ageing
on lath.
- Tinged with a hint of candied citrus (lemon & grapefruit), apricot, dry grapes and lychee and a final dash of cocoa
Taste :
- Impressive and intense attack on the taste senses, racy and
unexpected from an aged vintage.
Resulting from the 30|% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs fully
part of this blending and supported by a striking mineral touch from the
expression of the noble lands where these grapes matured.
- Refined sparkling
- Palatable tinges of citrus and honey, subtly liquoriced
- Finale fabulously long and deliciously sour
With this blending William Deutz Brut, Vintage 1998, Michael Davesne, Cellar Chief of the Champagne Deutz releases an amazing Champagne in the pure Deutz tradition.
A champagne to be served as an aperitif together with seared foie gras or along with all your festive meals.
