(about 30€ a bottle)

on the Grand Cru terroir of Cramant, Champagne Bonnaire makes and markets high
quality Champagnes since 1932.
Sober and elegant packaging.
Appearance :
- Pale
gold colour
- Delicate
bubbles
- Subtle
cordon
- Brilliant
Nose:
- Sensual, ethereal; elegant and complex all
together
- First nose on fresh butter, brioche, almond and
hazelnut aromas, result of the maturity obtained thanks to a long aging of
the bottles on laths before disgorgement (6 years)
- Later, the nose unveals hints of green apple,
pear and candied citrus (lemon and grapefruit), signature of the
Chardonnay, exclusive varietal
- Patience is rewarded at last by the appearance of
smooth iodized notes, accompanied by a hint of walnut and exotic fruit
(kiwi, mango, lychee …)
Palate:
- Pure first taste, of rare density, on minerality,
expression of the old vines planted on the noble terroir of Cramant,
classed Grand Cru, where the grapes come from
- Tension guides us all along the tasting, combined
in mid-palate by a warm and silky ampleness, enabled by the judicious
fulfillment of the malolactic fermentation on the basis wines
- Festive
sparkling
- Delicious tangy finish, thanks to a rigorous
selection of the first juices (cuvée) during pressing of the grapes
- Impressive length in the mouth
With this Grand Cru vintage 2004 cuvée, Jean-Louis Bonnaire and his son
Jean-Etienne, its makers, offer us a highly expressive Champagne, of stunning
minerality, a beautiful interpretation of this wonderful year 2004.
To enjoy as an aperitif, with salmon appetizers, or why not, during a meal,
with a platter of seafood or a prepared fish.
