Mythical Champagne
Champagne Ruinart, the oldest Champagne house, was created in 1729 by
Nicolas Ruinart, introduced to the crafting techniques by his uncle Dom Thierry
Ruinart, a priest of Reims and bosom friend of Dom Pérignon. Integrated into
the group LVMH in 1988, the house relies on its 576-hectare vineyard, mainly
planted with Chardonnay, to develop Champagnes of an inimitable purity.
Luxurious and sophisticated presentation.
Visual
Aspect:

Particularly fine bubbles.
·
Discreet bead of bubbles.
Nose:
·
Bewitching,
it proposes an infinite sensory experience.
·
At
first marked by crystallized red fruits (blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry)
and delicate spices (white pepper and cinnamon), intense expressions of the 20%
of red wine integrated into the blend, stemming from Pinot Noir selected in the
Grand Crus of Sillery and Verzenay in the Montagne de Reims.
·
Discreet
nuances of undergrowth and noble mushrooms, preludes to the bright opening on Chardonnay
(80 %), exclusively chosen in Grand Crus, among which 72 % in Cotes des Blancs
(Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger) and 28 % in Montagne de Reims (Sillery and
Puisieulx), with aromas of citrus fruits, apple and pear compote, of apricot
and raisins.
Palate:
·
Pure
first taste, striking by its minerality.
·
The
mouth then blooms, sensual, well-balanced and almost heady, with a remarkable breadth,
backed by a melting effervescence, in spite of the close-fitting dosage with
only 5,5 g/l of sugar added to the disgorgement.
·
We
find the red berries and spices evoked in the nose.
· Impressive length in the mouth.
