Guide VERON des Champagnes 2013
(16 Euros
per bottle)
Situated in Bouzy, in the heart of the
Mountains of Reims, the Champagne House of Rémy Louvet passionately cultivates
just over 3 hectares of Grand Cru vineyard, in the villages of Bouzy and
Ambonnay.
Traditional looking.
Appearance
:
·
Beautiful, lively coppery hue
·
Fine perlage
·
Fine, persistent ring of bubbles
· Limpid and bright
Nose :
·
Delicious and mouth-watering, intense
·
Delicate notes of red fruits (blackcurrant,
strawberry, redcurrant, ...) predominantly of strawberries
·
Left to breathe, you are rewarded with subtle spicy
notes
Palate
:
·
Alluring and pulpy, thanks to the 80%
Pinot Noir of 2008, good maturity, obtained from old vineyards (55 years old),
selected by hand at harvesting, without chaptalization, destemmed without
crushing, following the Rosé de Saignée method that is with a short
maceration from 10 to 12 hours
·
The red fruits already perceived at the
nose are repeated
·
Lively finish, with notes of grapefruit,
thanks to the 20% Chardonnay added during the traditional champenois blending
·
Good length on the palate
With this Brut Rosé, Rémy Louvet
offers Champagne of superb quality, delivering a wonderful image of his savoir-faire.
An excellent reward for his responsible and environmentally friendly winemaking approach.
Perfect with a steak tartare or
thinly sliced raw salmon with a dressing, a grapefruit sorbet or any red fruit
dessert.
