Mythical Champagne
Selection of the Great Cuvées of Champagne tasting
Fourth generation of winegrowers in Avize, the Champagne Agrapart et Fils grows with passion his vineyard of 10 hectares of old vines, mainly planted with Chardonnay and located in the Grand Crus of the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry), complemented with some plots at Avenay-Val-d'Or, Bergères-les-Vertus and Mardeuil. Respect for the ploughed soils and by-plot crafting in oak barrels, without filtration, give birth to rare Champagnes.
Refined presentation.
Visual aspect:
·
Pale yellow.
·
Fine bubbles.
·
Discreet ring of bubbles.
Nose:
·
Intense and moving.
·
Citrus aromas, apple and chrystallised pear, apricot and raisins, white
flowers, delicately salty and mentholated, signatures of the Chardonnay, exclusive
varietal, harvested at perfect maturity on old plots.
·
Complete maturity, with roasted notes, thanks to 5 years of ageing on
laths of the bottles before disgorgement, with a delicate woody side, obtained
by the vinification (with alcoholic fermentation by indigenous yeast) and the
maturation on the lees (8 months) in oak barrels.
Palate:
·
Pure first taste, mineral, thanks to the selection of
the first juices (tête de cuvée)
during the pressing of the grapes, and by the absence of dosage during the
disgorgement.
·
Remarkable presence.
·
Delicate finish.
·
Fabulous length on the palate.
With this Champagne Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Grand
Cru Expérience 07 stemming from 2007 at 85%, complemented by 15% of 2008 in the form of must, to bring the
sugar and the natural yeasts necessary for the fermentation, Pascal Agrapart
proposes us an inspired highgleaming of by the Grand Crus of Avize and Cramant,
coming exclusively from pure Chardonnay, with no adding of sugar nor exogenous
yeasts.
To taste during a gastronomic meal, with blue lobster, for example.
