Guide VERON des Champagnes 2016
(around 75 euros per bouteille)
Original and sober bottle, emblematic of the Champagne House Tanagra.
Aspect :
·
Deep and bright
salmon coloured.
·
Fine bubbles.
·
Delicate bead of foam.
Nose :
·
Rich and complex, it slowly
unveils it sensuality.
·
Radiant aromas of nice ripe
red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry, raspberry, strawberry and
blackcurrant), heightened by the soft spices (liquorice, pepper and cinnamon)
and a touch of violet, signatures of the Pinot Noir, exclusive varietal of the cuvée, rigorously selected in the 30
years old plot “les Marquises” in Verzenay in 2009, and softly gently macerated
for 18 months after crushing and destemming.
·
Joyful maturity with some
voluptuous hints of honey and toast, result of 5 years of ageing on laths of
the bottles with a particularly fine neck to control the wine respiration.
Palate :
·
Initially balanced thanks to the adjusted dosage, with
only 5 g/L of sugar added at disgorgement.
·
The mouth then becomes soft and warm, reinforced by
the selection of the free run wine after maceration, enhanced by a vibrant
minerality accompanying us throughout the tasting.
·
Gourmet finish,
interminable.
·
Exceptional length on the palate.
