Wine growers in Verneuil since 1963, the champagne Jacques Copin cultivates with passion its 10 hectare vineyard settled in Verneuil, Vandieres, Vincelles, Try and Dormans, in the Marne valley, and composed of 66% of pinot meunier, 21% of pinot noir and 13% of chardonnay. A viticulture respectful of the environment and a precise and inspired oenology give birth each year to 75 000 flasks of authentic champagnes.
Sober and luxurious presentation.
Visual
aspect :
- Golden.
- Very fine bubbles.
- Elegant bead.
Nose :
- Warm aromas of caramel, honey and beeswax,
heightened by delicate hints of cocoa and roasted coffee, expressions of
the great maturity of the cuvee obtained by 8 years of ageing on laths
before disgorgement.
- The chardonnay (50%), selected on the vineyard in
Try, reveals itself with exquisite nuances of citrus fruits, apple and
pear compotes, subtly mentholated.
- The patience is rewarded by the apparition of notes of red fruits, ever so lightly spiced, signatures of the pinot noir harvested at perfect maturity in the Verneuil region.
Palate :
- Lively and precise attack, allowed by the lack of
dosage (no added sugar during disgorgement)
- Beautiful minerality, accompanied by a tension
that lasts all through the tasting.
- We find again the red fruits mentioned in the
nose.
- Dense and warm finish, with a soft and smooth
effervescence, maybe thanks to he judicious realisation of the malolactic
fermentation on the base wines.
- Great length in the mouth.
With this Brut Nature Millesime 2004, producer Bruno Copin offers us a remarkable interpretation of the year 2004, good value for money, that paints a beautiful picture of the regions of the Marne valley.
To enjoy during a meal with friends, to accompany a tartare of sea bream with horseradish, citrus fruits and crunchy vegetables, for example.
