Champagne mythique
Sober and luxurious bottle, with generous forms.
Aspect :
·
Golden,
solar and bright.
·
Fine
bubbles.
·
Refined
bead of bubbles.
Nose :
·
Radiant, it takes us into a
sensual and endless whirl.
·
Well defined maturity, with
some fragrances of honey evolving towards captivating notes of chocolate and
roasted coffee, result of the patient ageing on laths of the bottles before
disgorgement (13 years).
·
The Pinot Noir (50%), chosen
in 3 Grands Crus of the Mountain of Reims (Mailly-Champagne, Verzy and
Verzenay) interlaces the Chardonnay (50%) of noble origins (Grands Crus of the
Côte des Blancs : le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize and Chouilly), to enhance the
aromas of red fruits and delicate spices alternating with notes of citrus
fruits, white fruits and flowers.
Palate :
·
Pure and deep
attack.
·
The mouth is then caressing, underlined by the silky
effervescence, definitely thanks to the accurate dosage, with 8.5 g/L of sugar
added at disgorgement.
·
Joyful finish with an enveloping warmth, supported by
a touch of spices and a vibrant minerality.
·
Fabulous length on the palate.
With this Cuvée des Enchanteleurs 2000, homage to
the champenois traditions and to the bygone
era when the barrel was the only available wine container, Laurent Fresnet,
Chef de Cave of the Champagne House Henriot, offers us an unforgettable
Champagne, in line with the previous vintage.
To taste during festive meals, to accompany a Bresse
Poultry roasted in truffle butter, for example.
One of the last independent Champagne
Houses, the Champagne House Henriot is led by the Henriot family since its
creation, in 1808. Thus in 2008, Thomas Henriot, eighth generation, joins his
father Joseph Henriot. A vineyard of 30 hectares cultivated by the House and a
grapes supply mainly from Premiers
and Grands Crus give birth to around 1,300,000 bottles of great Champagnes
each year, in the pure Henriot style.
