Guide VERON des Champagnes 2015(approximately 24 euros)
Wine grower in Ville-Dommange since 1590, the champagne F Bergeronneau Marion relies on its 15 hectare vineyard, composed of the 3 grape varieties of the Champagne region (50% of pinot meunier, 25% of pinot noir and 25% of chardonnay), cultivated in the greatest of respect of the environment, mainly planted on the Reims mountain and the massif of Saint-Thierry, to elaborate and market around 90 000 bottles of quality champagnes per year.
Elegant and luxurious presentation.
Visual
aspect :
- Golden, intense and luminous.
- Fine bubbles.
- Discreet bead, persistent after service.
Nose :
- Delightful, it seduces straight away.
- Warm aromas of brioche and honey, evolving
towards delicate toasted and roasted nuances, translations of the great
maturity of the champagne, obtained by a patient ageing on laths (6
years), at 12ºC, in the deep vaults of the estate.
- Later, the chardonnay (30%) reveals itself, with subtle nuances of citrus fruits, apple, pear, apricot and raisins, followed by the black grape varieties (30% of pinot noir and 30% of pinot meunier), with a hint of red and black fruits.
Palate :
- The palate reveals a real essential force,
allowed by the judicious blockage of the malolactic fermentation,
sublimated by the old vines plots particular maturity (30 years old),
rigorously selected on the clayey-limestoned soils of Ville-Dommange,
classified premier cru, exclusive
origin of the grapes harvested at perfect maturity.
- Beautiful presence, soft and warm, thanks to the
generous dosage, with 9g/L of added sugar at disgorgement.
- Dense, deliciously slightly acid finish.
- Great length in the mouth.
