(around
30 euros per bottle)
Luxurious bottle, with a generous shape.
Aspect:
Golden.
Bubbles
of great finesse.
Elegant
bead of foam.
Nose:
Initially
reserved and captivating, it then imposes its endless perfumed farandole.
Radiant
aromas of red and black fruits, signatures of the Pinot Noir (45%) and the
Meunier (30%).
The
Chardonnay (25%) then unveils all its subtlety, sensual harmony of apple, pear,
citrus fruits and hazelnut.
Patience
is rewarded by the appearance of gentle hints of honey and pastries, barely
roasted, expressions of the maturity of the Champagne obtained by 3 years of
ageing on laths of the bottles, at a constant temperature (12°C), before
disgorgement.
Palate:
Classy
opening, definitely thanks to the rigorous selection of the cuvée (first juices) during the pressing
of the grapes, supported by the vibrant minerality of the noble terroirs of the House.
The
mouth becomes caressing, with an enveloping warmth, reinforced by the
fulfillment of the malolactic fermentation of the base wines and by the
generous dosage, with 9 g/L of sugar added at disgorgement.
Tasty
finish.
Great
length on the palate.
Jean-Jacques
Cattier and his son Alexandre, oenologists and cellar masters of the Champagne
House Cattier, were able to blend with talent the Premiers Crus of the Mountain
of Reims and the vintages (70% from 2012 and 30% of reserve wines), to offer us
a high level Brut Antique Premier Cru.
To
taste during festive meals, with a sweetbread and candied lemon, for example.
Owner
of vineyard since 1763 and producer of Champagne since 1918, the Champagne
House Cattier, independent family company, perpetuates with passion its quest
of perfection. The acquisition of the Clos du Moulin in 1951, which is at the
root of the eponym prestigious cuvée
in 1955, and then the creation of the range Armand de Brignac in 2006 allow it
to maintain its inimitable touch, producing around 1 million of bottles per
year, ambassador of the brand in more than 80 countries.
