Dorée
et limpide.

Nose:
Sensual
and endless aromatic harmony.
Scents
of red and black fruits, underlined by subtle spices, reinforced by an
attentive vinification without Sulphur, signatures of the Pinot Noir, exclusive
varietal, generously by a plot in 2013, harvested with love by maternal and
female hands.
The
nose becomes radiant with gourmet hints of honey and pastries, translation of
the delicious maturity of the cuvée.
Palate:
Gentle
and balanced attack, with a brilliant minerality, obtained by the absence of
dosage (no sugar added at disgorgement).
The
mouth becomes creamy and sensual, revealed by natural yeasts of the terroir during the alcoholic
fermentation of the base wines, and enhanced by the caressing effervescence,
result of the light prise de mousse,
with only 21 g/L of sugar added at bottling (instead of 24 g/L).
Tasty
finish.
Great
length on the palate.
With
this Cuvée CXVI (116 – without sulphur), Marc Augustin, wine grower, was able
to talk with his vines and wines until the osmosis and avoid the stress related
of the oxidation of the musts thanks to an isotherapic approach, to offer us a
Champagne with a striking beauty.
To
taste from aperitif to meal, with a venison loin, for example.
Driven by the
desire to live in symbiosis with nature and reduce the environmental footprint,
the Champagne House Augustin cultivates its vineyard of 9 hectares classified
as Premiers Crus (3 hectares in Vertus and 6 hectares in Avenay-Val-d’Or)
according to organic viticulture and biodynamic principles. Always listening
his vines and wines, Marc Augustin, from a long line of wine growers and
producers, transmits us their message through a range of 4 Champagnes, bright
illustrations of the four elements.
