Guide VERON des Champagnes 2018
(around 46
euros per bottle)
Bright presentation.
Original graphic composition for the two cuvées
100 S (Zéro Dosage and Sans Sulfites ajoutés), last creation of the two
sisters, Charlène and Marine Loriot.
Aspect:
White gold.
Fine bubbles.
Fine bead of foam.
Nose:
Heady and endless
aromatic breath, enhanced by the non-utilisation of SO2 during
production.
The radiant aromas of
red and black fruits, signatures of the Pinot Noir (50%), driven by delicate
spices (liquorice and white pepper), gently interlace the sensuals scents of
apple, grape and hazelnut, barely mentholated, characteristic sign of the
Chardonnay (50%).
Palate:
La purity of the
opening, obtained by the rigorous selection of the first juices (cuvée) during the pressing of the grapes
and by the absence of dosage (no sugar added) at disgorgement, gives way to a
remarkable density.
The mouth becomes
caressing sensual, reinforced by the judicious fulfilment of the malolactic
fermentation of the base wines with bacteriums selected by the House.
Life-giving finish,
highlighted by spices.
Great length on the
palate.
With this Cuvée 100 S –
Sans Sulfites ajoutés, Xavier and Charlène Loriot put their œnological talent
in the service of the grapes selected in 2013, without prohibiting anything, to
reveal all their personality and to offer us an unique Champagne, source of
vertiginous feelings.
to taste during a meal,

Established in

the environmental footprint (currently in the process of HVE certification),
cultivates with accuracy its vineyard of 10.5 hectares planted on the right
bank of the Marne Valley, to produce with passion Champagnes with a strong
character, under the brand created in 1981.
