Trésors de Champagne club. Agglomerated cork to ensure the absence of cork
taste.
Aspect:
Pale gold, bright.
Fine and festive bubbles.
Fine bead of bubbles.
Nose:
Endless aromatic seduction.
The delicate scents of apple, pear and citrus
fruits, underlined by notes of almond and hazelnut, heady signatures of the Chardonnay
(30%), gently interlace the radiant fragrances of red and black fruits
deliciously spicy, characteristic signs of the Pinot Noir (70%).
Radiant maturity, result of dix long years of
ageing on laths of the bottles in the cellars of the house, driven by of
generous fragrances of pastries and cocoa.
Palate:
Exciting tension at the opening, highlighted
by the vibrant chalky minerality.
Remarkable, deep and caressing presence,
definitely reinforced by the judicious fulfilment of the malolactic fermentation
of the base wines and supported by a carefully considered dosage with only 8
g/L of sugar added at disgorgement.
Tasty finish.
Very great length on the palate.
With this cuvée
Spécial Club Millésime 2006, approved by the very demanding professional jury
of the of the Trésors de Champagne club, Etienne Goutorbe, its producer, offers
us an brilliant interpretation of the Grand Cru terroir of Aÿ.
While the family saga started
by Emile Goutorbe in 1918 continues to be developed with the arrival of Etienne
Goutorbe and his brother Bertrand, fourth generation of inspired wine growers,
the Champagne house Henri Goutorbe tries its hardest to affirm its genuine
style producing each year with passion around 180,000 bottles of a range of
highly expressive champagnes. A vine nursery, a 22 hectares vineyard and the
3-star hotel Castel Jeanson establish the house as an unavoidable signature of
Champagne.
