Guide VERON des Champagnes 2020
(around 18 euros per bottle)
Radiant, sober and original bottle.
Aspect:
Bright
and radiant colour.
Fine
and dynamic bubbles.
Sensual
tears.
Nose:
Vertiginous
aromatic harmony.
The
luxuriant fragrances of strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, blueberry and
blackberry mingle with elegance, endlessly, heady signatures of the majority of
Meunier (90%) and Pinot Noir (10%), carefully harvested by hand in the locality
« La Colleterie »,
in Passy-Grigny, and then macerated for 72 to 96 hours, with regular
pumping-over twice a day.
Palate:
Creamy
caress at the opening, reinforced by the judicious fulfilment of the malolactic
fermentation of the base wines and by the balanced dosage with 8 g/L of sugar
added at disgorgement.
Graceful
touches of exotic fruits underline the scents of red and black fruits, probably
the reflection of the alcoholic fermentation of the base wines realised at low
temperature (16 to 18 °C).
Lively
finish, definitely thanks to the exclusive selection of the free-run juice
during racking, after maceration.
Remarkable
length on the palate.
With this Rosé de Saignée with a very good value for money, Benjamin
Rogge, its producer, confirms his talent of wine grower signing a well-defined rosé made by maceration, splendid
delicacy.
To taste as an aperitif or during a meal,
with a red fruits tartar, for example.
Resolutely
based on dynamism and creativity, the Champagne house Rogge Cereser offers a
friendly welcome in its new facilities and its guest houses in La Colleterie,
in Passy-Grigny. Since 2000, Benjamin Rogge cultivates his 10 hectares vineyard
composed of the 3 champenois
varietals, well-exposed on the right bank of the Marne Valley, with the real
desire to reduce the environmental footprint. A gentle and accurate œnology
gives birth each year to around 75,000 bottles of champagnes of pleasure,
marketed under the brand created in 1997.
